Volunteer with Ghana Organisation is a Non Governmetal Organisation (NGO) registered with the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development and the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
what do we do?
Volunteer With Ghana was set up to provide education, health, and social care for the socially vulnerable and deprived in the Cape Coast Metropolis.
how do we do this?
Through our organisation, we…
- Provide public health education to schools, orphanages, and communities;
- Advocate sustainable measures for persons with disabilities;
- Assist tourists with information on travels and Ghana;
- Train community members in areas of tourism, health, and education;
- Provide and promote internship opportunities for students and practitioners in the areas of health, education and tourism.
- Support the youth in the maintenance of their vocational training;
- Support children and adolescents through extracurricular activities in order to offer them perspectives.
We do this in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals because we want to contribute to the enablement of a dignified life. We believe reaching this is only possible through cooperation between different players which is why we are working hand in hand with many different people with various backgrouds.

Our vision and mission are to improve the lives of socially vulnerable and deprived people and to promote community development in a sustainable way. In line with this, activities through constant professionalism, innovative and qualitative delivery methods are used to achieve our goals effectively and efficiently.
For a better achievement of our goals, we offer internships and volunteering programs to get support from people interested in our programs.
The organisation will partner and work hand in hand with local and foreign social workers, teachers, health professionals, organisations and people interested in community development.

albrin kanco
founder
Albrin grew up in Cape Coast but has been travelling around Ghana since, by himself or with volunteers. He graduated from the Takoradi Technical University with a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design.
As the founder of this organisation, he believes in bringing people together, no matter their background, through travelling and communication. He set up this organisation to help the women and children in the local community with education and health. Some have difficulties finding their way to the hospital for treatment because they believe in local medicine, which sometimes worsens things.
Through this organisation, he wants to help educate the local community about the do’s and don’ts when they are sick.
Albrin speaks and understands three local languages (Twi, Fante and Frafra) and also speaks fluent English and some German.

Annika Heinzelmann
consultant
Annika grew up in a beautiful region in south-western Germany known for its delicious wines. She graduated from the Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and is currently finishing her studies in Environmental Management and Urban Planning in Dense Urban Agglomerations at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden.
After graduating High School in 2014 she spent a 1-year Voluntary Service in Kumbo, Cameroon working in multiple projects including a school, a hospital and the diocesan Social Welfare Office.
During her Voluntary Service and her academic career, she realized the importance and immense possibilities of sharing one’s knowledge and competences with those in need around the globe. She believes in the necessity of a creating a development cooperation defined by mutual respect and support and closely linked to the local communities.
Annika speaks German, English and French fluently.

Priska Bertsch
fund raiser
Priska Bertsch grew up in Germany, in a small town in the middle of the Region Hessen. She finished Junior High School and Educator.
She has been working for the last 7 years at a school for Kids with Special Needs.
In 2018 to 2019 Miss Priska Bertsch was Volunteering at a school in Ghana.
She love what she do as in helping the kids with special need and also travelling.
She speaks German and English.
